OUR APPROACH

Sticky problems call for sticky solutions.

EXPERIENTIAL

If we want to change human behaviour we need to make learning sticky.

How do we do this? We incorporate opportunities for learners to try out the desired behaviour and then reflect on the experience – ideally by replicating the situational context of their work as closely as possible.

This is why our learning experiences are hands-on, often incorporating workshop-based simulation activities, on-the-job application activities, peer coaching circles, and mentoring. All to close the dreaded knowing-doing gap which frequently occurs with more theoretical approaches.

HUMAN-CENTRED

Human Centred design (HCD)  is an approach to problem-solving that puts the learner at the heart of the process to ensure the solution we design meets their real needs (and not the needs we think/assume they have).

Through HCD, we work with your team to generate, test and iterate ideas, making feedback from the people we’re designing for a critical part of how a solution evolves.

The result is a learner experience that educates, inspires and leads to real, measurable behaviour change.

CO-DESIGNED

We know learning and you know your business, so it makes sense that fit-for-purpose learning design always involves collaborating with you and your team.

Our streamlined iterative learning design process includes a number of structured client review points to ensure your voice is heard, and the end solution aligns with your organisation’s unique needs.

Our learning experience design process typically includes:

  1. CONSULTATION - Initial consultation with your subject matter experts to align on approach and objectives

  2. HIGH LEVEL DESIGN - Creation of a high level Blueprint document outlining the program aims, structure and high level content. This is signed off by the working group before moving on to the next step.

  3. DETAILED DESIGN - Creation of a detailed design document such as a script or storyboard. This may also include visual design where relevent. This is signed off by the working group before moving on to the next step

  4. DEVELOPMENT - Creation of the draft learning asset such an an elearning module, animated video, or facilitated session resources.

  5. DELIVERY - After implementing your feedback on the draft deliverable, it is finalised, tested and delivered for your deployment.

INNOVATIVE

Balancing traditional learning methodologies with proven cutting edge instructional and technological approaches ensures that our learning experiences hit the mark.

For example, we follow a traditional constructivist learning model, incorporating storytelling and narratives to inspire learners to meaningfully relate to the content. Where it adds value, we may do this using multimedia such as interactive video to bring the learning to life and create immersive, hands-on learner experiences.
